I'm not sure why this isn't picking up the cfp_link. I've raised it on the organiser Slack, but for now, you might just want to put a literal link to your CFP page.

yes that is a shortcode that just links to a named page in the event. so for that you want to do it manually not with shortcode. if you notice the shortcode is called event_link, it's a way to easily make a link to a page in the event folder

it appears I should have done event_link url-key in welcome.md. links appear to be handled properly now.
